Inspiration Park: A Community built Project!

Inspiration Park a Community Park Project is a dedicated venue for the families of Spring Hill, Kansas. A committee was formed under SHIFT: Spring Hill Inspiration for Teens (Cameron, Powell, Justice Berry, Shawn Wilson, Derek Buckridge & Officer Jason Abel) to push the progress! Our main purpose with adding this park to Spring Hill is to give not just the children but everyone a safe and fun place to go to for a good and wholesome time with the entire family! General Park Layout This is the rough plan for the general layout of the skate and bike park in the location near the aquatic center. There will be access sidewalks and roads from the nearby neighborhoods making it very easy for the community to use the park. It will include park benches, rest areas and event bleachers for different areas. The surrounding paved walking and jogging path will have multiple fitness stations (yellow stars) spread throughout. Inside of the path will be the skate and bike park which will be in ground and constructed of concrete. Across the plot we will find the dirt built and community constructed bicycle pump tracks. These pump tracks will allow bikers of all ages and skill levels, from beginner to intermediate. Located between the two main attractions will be basketball and sand volleyball courts, approximately two of each. The plans also include a park shelter, trash removal services, restrooms and a graffiti wall.
